I frequently hear brand-new Realtors mention that doing open houses is the old way and the new way is doing social media. The funny part is that most of the time, they are doing neither of the two. If you want to be successful in this industry, you have to do both. 

Open houses are a great way to build a database. You can always do more social media while you’re advertising and marketing yourself at the open house. Try to get more information and content out there. Don’t stop doing open houses—instead, do two things at once.
