If you’re like me, you strive to become the best version of yourself. However, this process doesn’t start and end with your work days. Once you’re finished working for the day, what do you do to cultivate your mind?

Most people just want to relax, so they throw on something like Simpsons reruns and zone out. I don’t think I need to tell you that this isn’t the best way to nurture yourself.

The truth is that our minds are a lot like cars. If you buy a high-end Tesla and try to put gasoline in it, it won’t run. In fact, you might screw up the car. If you put garbage in, you’ll get garbage out.

That’s why I recommend you read at least 10 pages from a self-improvement book every day. This can still be relaxing, but you’ll be improving your mind instead of putting it to sleep.

If you have questions about today’s topic or would like book recommendations, just call or email me. I am always willing to help.
